Provincial Council Donations

The B.C. 4-H Provincial Council office supports the members, leaders and volunteers of B.C. 4-H by offering provincial programs, project information and resources, a website, newsletters and annual reports to keep the members, leaders and volunteers informed and connected. Donations may be made directly to the       B.C. 4-H Provincial Council through the provincial office. These funds may be applied to general operating expenses or designated by the donor for a specific provincial program or initiative. Donors are provided with a charitable tax receipt for income tax purposes and are recognized in the B. C. 4-H Annual Report for the year in which their donation was received. Donors are an important part of B.C 4-H and are encouraged to use the "Proud Supporter of B. C. 4-H" emblem.

"The dictionary definition of a hero is a mythological or legendary figure of great strength or ability, someone who is admired for his or her achievements and qualities" Now I believe that is only partly true because to be a hero you don't have to possess the power or super strength or laser vision. A hero can simply be anyone as ordinary as you or I. My 4-H hero is not someone with a secret identity, nor can fly, and surely doesn't wear tights, but she is definitely someone you can admire for her achievements and qualities. She goes by the name of Terry Prehara and she is my 4-H Lamb Project Leader. I have been involved with 4-H for over 5 years now and I honestly don't know where I would be without Terry. She was in 4-H herself for 11 years and has been the leader of our club for 12 years now. Even in my junior years Terry would always take the time to lend a helping hand and explain things for that they were easily understandable. She is a hardworking dedicated leader and mother. She is always on task and organized at keeping our club growing. Her positive attitude reflects on all the members of the club including the parents. 4-H has taught me a lot about leadership skills and responsibilities. Terry Prehara is not only a great leader to look up to, she is my 4-H hero.
