Golf Etiquette and Texas Scramble Rules

Care of the Course:

Use the Three R’s:

  1. Repair your ball marks on the green
  2. Replace your divots
  3. Rake traps

Keep bags, carts and power carts off of tees and greens.

Food and Beverage:

All food and beverage must be purchased from the Spallumcheen Golf and Country Club.  No outside alcohol or coolers permitted.

Dress Code:

Proper attire must be worn at all times. No swimsuits, tank tops, spaghetti straps, cut offs, short shorts or offensive clothing of any kind will be allowed on the property. Footwear must consist of soft spike golf shoes, street shoes with low heals, non-abrasive running shoes or sandals. No bare feet or cowboy boots.

Pace of Play:

Slow play must be avoided. Allow only 3 minutes to search for lost balls. There is a course Marshal on the course 7 days a week. Please obey any instructions he/she may have for your group. The Marshal is there for the enjoyment of all golfers and to help serve you.

Additional Information:

Each player must have their own set of clubs, no sharing will be permitted. Rental sets are available at the pro-shop at a cost to the player.

Texas Scramble Rules:

Everyone tees off. Men tee off from the white tees, ladies tee off from the red tees.

Choose the best tee shot through a general consensus of your scramble team. The group can decide the best tee shot based on any criteria they choose. Usually the best shot is the longest drive that lands in the fairway. Your team may choose a long tee shot that landed off the fairway in the rough if you have a decent lie.

Mark the spot of the best tee shot with a golf tee or ball marker. Direct other players to pick up their balls and hit from within one club length of the marked spot.

Continue selecting the best shot until one player hits the ball in the hole. The team score is total of the best shots.

Have Fun!!
